Wellhead Compression Project 2021 PMC
Client: Pluspetrol Peru Corporation
Field (Type): Camisea (Gas & Condensate production; Onshore Peru)
Objectives:
The client wanted to install a new compression train(s) by 2021
The client wanted to undertake the EPC of the third compression train for the Camisea Wellhead Compression Project.
To provide project management consultancy services and technical support relating to the ITT and RFQ processes for the new compression train.
To undertake a capacity review of existing compression trains and determine their suitability for the additional compression duty
Challenge: The key driver for the procurement of the third compression train was the declining reservoir pressures of the Cashiriari field.
Our Engagement: Eta was engaged as Owner Engineer (Engineering Consultants) because of its unique gas compression expertise and understanding of the client’s asset portfolio.
Approach: a methodology based on Eta’s verify™ process was used
Stake:
If the action was not taken to install an optimum compression train, declining reservoir pressures from the Cashiriari field could have led to a significant loss of production/revenue.
In addition, well fluids from the reservoir would have not had sufficient pressure to meet the entry requirements to the central processing facility.
Results:
Successfully carried out consistency checks to validate compressor envelopes and sparing/standby philosophy of existing and proposed new trains
Successful preparation of turbo-compressor RFQ documents package
Successful management of pre-bid and post-bid clarifications
Successful technical evaluation of turbo-compressor bids
Successful contract award recommendation based on technical evaluation
